Continental’s popular “king of the road” is calling in reinforcements: the ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO is now available with the “GT” designation for heavy touring bikes. The GT is the reinforced version of the proven ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO, and has the same high-performance design and composition.
- An additional ply has been added to the carcass on the rear wheel, and the carcass construction of the front wheel too has been designed for the higher loads required by heavy touring bikes. Furthermore, its TractionSkin surface allows the GT to be removed from the mold without having to use a release agent, which means it needs only a very short break-in period.
- The new top-class touring tires also benefit from the EVO series’ optimized rain-handling characteristics. Their sophisticated tread design provides reliable drainage, and the compound specially developed for the EVO Series now provides good grip even in wet weather.
- Soft flanks and a wear-resistant central zone are typical for the ContiRoadAttack family. This technology, called MultiGrip, significantly increases the service life of the tire while boosting grip during banking. The GT version combines all the advantages of this unique touring tire in one product – and the stronger carcass means riders of higher-powered long-distancetouring motorcycles will finally be able to enjoy “Continental performance.”
- The ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO GT supersedes the CRA 2 C; ContiRoadAttack 2 GT and 2 EVO will remain in our product range. Due to its modified structure, the new EVO GT“heavyweight” cannot be combined with either the now discontinued CRA 2 C or the current ContiRoadAttack 2 GT and CRA 2 EVO.
